About Me

I have been surrounded by educators my entire life. I am the only child of a single parent who taught in public education for 25 years and because of this I saw the inside and outside of our schools and knew from as early as I can remember that I wanted to teach as well.

I graduated from UC Berkeley in 2014 with a degree in Practice of Art where I took a variety of classes that gave me the opportunity to teach in Bay Area classrooms. After graduating, I traveled to India to teach English and current events for five months, which you can read more about here.

Upon returning, I began teaching at Willard Middle School where I gained experience in a variety of different roles as an educator and as a leader. After 10 years with Berkeley Unified School District, I am now working at Sequoia Middle School in Mount Diablo Unified School District. If you want to learn more about my artwork, my experiences in India, or my teaching, you can explore the links above or reach out to me.
